Brief description:
The Amsterdam
Excellence Scholarships (AES) awards scholarships to exceptionally
talented students from outside Europe to pursue eligible Master’s
Programmes offered at the University of Amsterdam.

Scholarship value/inclusions/duration:
The AES is a full
scholarship of €25,000 (covering tuition and living expenses) for one
academic year with the possibility of extension for a second year for
two-year Master’s programmes.
Eligibility:
Non-EU students from
any discipline who graduated in the top 10% of their class may apply.
Selection is on the basis of academic excellence, ambition and the
relevance of the selected Master’s programme to a student’s future
career.
Application instructions:
Applications
are made through the Admissions Offices of the Graduate Schools. You
can find the specific eligibility requirements, selection criteria and
application instructions on the Graduate School websites. Deadlines for
the AES differ per Graduate School but is either 15 January 2017 or 1 February 2017 (this is earlier than the application deadline for most of the Master’s programmes).
